GS Paper-II (CSAT)

Total Marks: 200 Questions: 80 MCQs Time: 2 Hours Qualifying: 33% (66 Marks)

Important Rule for CSAT:

GS Paper-II is qualifying in nature. You only need to score 33% (66 marks). Marks obtained in this paper are not counted for the merit list, but you must pass this paper to have your GS Paper-I evaluated.

Comprehension

  • Reading and understanding English passages.
  • Answering questions based on the central theme, inferences, and vocabulary of given texts.

Interpersonal skills

  • Including communication skills.

Reasoning & Analytical Ability

  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
  • General mental ability (Series, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, etc.).
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills.

Decision Making

  • Decision making and problem-solving scenarios.
  • Ethical and administrative situational judgment tests.

General mental ability

  • Blood Relations and Direction, Coding and Decoding,
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoing, Puzzles & Arrangements
  • Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Series & Patterns

Basic Numeracy (Class X Level)

  • Numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.
  • Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio & Proportion.
  • Time, Speed, Distance, and Work.

Data Interpretation (Class X Level)

  • Charts, Graphs, Tables, and Data Sufficiency.
  • Visualizing and analyzing data sets to draw conclusions.

English Language Skills (Class X level)

  • English Language Comprehension skills.
  • Basic Grammar and Vocabulary usage.
